Almond, mandarin, and bergamot open it up soft and sweet, with a watery accord keeping things fresh. Then civet and geranium take over — animalic, a little dirty, giving it more edge than the original Layton right away. Rose, gardenia, and water lily add a lush floral heart. Vanilla, cardamom, sandalwood, pepper, patchouli, and guaiac wood settle it into a deep, complex finish.

This is the intensified, more mature sibling to the original Layton — same sweet-apple-vanilla DNA, but the civet and water lily push it into stranger, more animalic territory. A grower, and genuinely more polarizing than the crowd-pleasing OG.
